1927 T-Bucket Rat Rod on the Pacific Coast at Sunset

This 1927 T-Bucket Rat Rod was hand built and resides somewhere near Salem Oregon. When I shot this, it was in a gas station parking lot.... I made it cruising in a slightly surreal Pacific coast setting, along with little people trying to watch the sunset, which is also a photo that I shot another time. 
The little people are the surreal part.

About My New Art Site!

This is a small collection of some of the new art on my new site StacyYoungArt.com.

Here is a little more about my art....

Stacy Ann Young's artwork takes on many forms. From pencil drawings, to paint on canvas, to paint on glass, to digital artwork, Stacy Ann uses her magic to create a new reality, one with it's roots in the real world, but resulting in a slightly altered reality.

Stacy Ann's first gallery on her new official site is her Digital Art Gallery, with each piece starting out as a simple photo, but turned into a scene form another time, or another place, or even another universe.

Stacy Ann's artwork will soon be available for purchase in various sizes and formats, as well as for licensing through her online store which opens soon. She is also arranging for her work to be displayed at several shows throughout Oregon later this year.

But for now, enjoy her work that is on display here, and check in often as more Digital Artwork, as well as Stacy Ann's work in other mediums, will be posted soon!

Introducing my 3 new art sites!

I want to introduce some of my new art sites. 

The first one is StacyYoungArt.com

I can't wait to share some of my new pieces and experiments, which will include paintings on canvas, multi-layer glass paintings... and also photo and graphic art as well, which will be available with various sizes and materials. I'm also sharing some of my photo and graphic art on this site.

The next new site is StacyPDX.com. 

Here I post updates such as new art, photos, news and events that relate to both my photography and art sites, StacyYoungPhotos.com and the very new and extremely exciting StacyYoungArt.com

The last site, StacyYoungPhotos.com is actually my first site, but this one is now re-purposed, reinvented and reinvigorated. The primary focus of this site is to show my photography.

Discovering Portland through my iPhone

 For the last 3 weeks, I've had the pleasure to walk around Portland with my iPhone in hand, snapping pictures left and right of just about everything I saw. There is something liberating about the freedom of always having my camera at finger's reach and for that camera to weigh about as much as a piece of cardboard. I'm also amazed that cameras have evolved to having a decent level of quality derived from a near-microscopic dot as a lens. Not to mention that it's also a lot more fun when I can post some of my favorite pictures on to Facebook, just seconds after experiencing them, in almost real-time.

One of the most fascinating facets of Portland's culture is the food cart phenomena. There are hundreds of food carts, mostly situated into food cart pods, which are located throughout the entire city and are successfully proving that this kind of business model can indeed work...even in a big city.

This photo gallery shows a slice of the really cool food cart culture of Portland. There's also lots of very interesting buildings and some very unique and spectacular architecture, since many of the historical buildings have been preserved.

Portlanders, such as myself are proud of our city and we want to share it with the world... Now I am sharing my own discovery of the Rose City with the world. Please share it forward.
