My first 2 weeks in Portland

Well I've been in Portland, Oregon for 16 days and just starting to learn my way around a bit. I go for a lot of walks and this is where I often not only get very lost, but also learn my way too. It seems they go together.

This has been a very interesting experience so far which has included a whole lot of emotion, ranging from sadness, depression, feeling so scared... to elation, curiosity, wonderment and just being thrilled with the diverse beauty this area has to offer. Portland is also a more laid back, hip, modern, progressive small big city and I like the culture a lot...and all the coffee, and the abundance of vegetarian restaurants...and nice people.

So I've been applying for jobs and have a few promising prospects. Will be going by some more employment agencies too, which there seems to be a lot of in this town.

But everyone I have encountered has been really nice. This place seems to have very good vibes and I think that I finally found a city that is perfect for me. I've actually been really wanting to live here for at least 15 years and have made some weak attempts, but never committed to just coming out here, which I finally did.
